While PRP therapy is a nonsurgical treatment that is associated with very little risk, it’s not right for everyone. You likely won’t be considered a candidate for this treatment if you: 

• Are pregnant
• Have advanced-stage osteoarthritis
• Have a blood disorder and/or anemia
• Currently have an infection or cancer
• Are receiving anticoagulation therapy

Most of the patients who receive treatment will see some relief within a week after their first PRP injection. PRP helps your body heal, and this process can take some time. You should expect to notice continual improvement for a few weeks after your third injection.

After the initial regimen, it is recommended to be seen for a yearly booster. Depending on how your body responds to treatment, some individuals may need a booster more or less often. 

Discontinue any medications / supplements that may thin your blood unless prescribed by your provider. 

We recommend a minimum of 3 sessions with a minimum of 1 month apart each session.
