What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable substances, often composed of hyaluronic acid or other materials, used to add volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Dermal fillers work by instantly adding volume to the treated area, plumping up the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines.

Are Dermal Fillers Safe?

When administered by a qualified and experienced healthcare professional, dermal fillers are generally considered safe. Our practice offers a complimentary consultation for each patient to ascertain the safe and expert administration of dermal fillers by our trained and certified injectors.

How Long Do Dermal Filler Results Last?

The duration of results varies depending on the type of filler used and individual factors. Results can last from several months to over a year.

Is There Downtime After Dermal Filler Treatment?

Downtime is minimal for most dermal filler treatments. Patients can typically resume normal activities immediately after the procedure.

Are Dermal Filler Injections Painful?

Discomfort is usually minimal during dermal filler injections. If needed, your injector will apply medical-grade topical numbing to your treatment area prior. Many fillers also contain a local anesthetic to enhance comfort.

Are There Any Side Effects of Dermal Fillers?

Some hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be partially or fully reversed using an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.

Can Dermal Fillers Be Combined with Other Treatments?

Yes, dermal fillers can be combined with other cosmetic treatments such as Botox, laser therapy, or chemical peels for comprehensive facial rejuvenation.

How Soon Can I See Results After Dermal Filler Treatment?

Results are typically visible immediately after the treatment, with optimal effects becoming more apparent in the days following.

Who is a Good Candidate for Dermal Fillers?

Individuals experiencing volume loss, wrinkles, or seeking facial enhancement may be good candidates. A consultation with a healthcare professional helps determine suitability.

Which Filler Type is the Best?

The choice of which filler depends on your treatment goals, the desired longevity, and the facial location – This varies from person to person. Your certified injector will discuss your goals and determine which products are right for you.

What Should I Expect at My Consultation?

Your injector will assess your treatment objectives and conduct a facial analysis to identify the suitable treatment areas. If deemed appropriate, same-day treatment may be administered based on time availability.
