How should i prepare for my treatment?
  • Avoid blood-thinning medications for several days before your visit (*Unless medically indicated).
  • Avoid alcohol on the procedure day.
  • Arrive with a clean, washed face.
  • If you have a history of cold sores, start your anti-viral medication 3 days prior to your injection.
What can I expect during my treatment visit?

Before/Dysport and after your treatment, your injector will capture photographs. For certain areas, a numbing cream may be applied before the injection. Many patients describe the injections as a mild pinch. 

What should i do after my treatment?
  • Do not lie down for 4 hours.
  • Do not wear a hat for 4 hours if the forehead is treated.
  • Avoid any massage or pressure to the treatment area(s), as this may alter the placement of the drug.
  • If you would like to reapply makeup, do so gently over the treatment area(s).
  • Avoid flushing/sweating and heavy exercise for 24 hours. 
What should i expect after my treatment?

Recovery time for the treatment is minimal, allowing you to resume your daily activities right away. Visible smoothing of lines may begin within 24 to 48 hours, with complete results apparent within 30 days. The effects can last up to 4 months for moderate to severe lines. During your 2-week follow-up visit, you and the provider can assess whether additional units are necessary.
